Access to this area of the world is definately improving
Both Easyjet and Ryanair are flying into Tangier in 2008 but due to the unfair non EU tax you have to change in Madrid or Marseille or you can fly and pay the tax if flying via Atlas Blue or Royal Air Maroc from London airports.

The airport at Tangier has undegone significant investment in additional runway and a brand new terminal due to open end of July 2008, this is showing in the picture below which has more than doubled the size of the airport.

I'm flying out from Luton to Madrid and then onto Tangier for less than £100 in June fligts from London airports via Atlas Blue are around £150(inc Taxes).

Other Airports in Morocco are Marrakech, Fes and Casablanca their is an airport at Tetouan which is 10miles away from the apartment but this is currently only used by Club Med but this will change as some investment has recently gone into the airport

It is also possible to fly to Malaga or Gibraltar and catch the ferry from Algerceras or Tarifa to Tangier or Ceuta which is close to the apartment.
